One of the smartest things Clickfunnels has done with their affiliate program is having a Dream Car contest.
If you’re anything like me, you wouldn’t spend a lot of money on a car.
You would dream about it, you would fantasize about it, but when push came to shove even with extra money coming in your probably wouldn’t splurge on a nice car.
That’s what makes Clickfunnels Dream Car content so intriguing. If you get 100 active members, they will just give you a car of your dreams. And you don’t have to feel guilty about it!
This is what has motivated me, and I am sure it’s what motivates a lot of affiliates looking into promoting Clickfunnels.
But how can you actually get there? I was curious and needed some motivation, so I reached out to all the top Clickfunnels Affiliates (current and future dream car winners) and compiled a list of the best advice they have for people just starting out.
Looking at these top affiliates it is obvious that there is MANY ways that you can promote Clickfunnels. Let’s take a look at what these Dream Car winners have to say…
Spencer Mecham is Clickfunnels #1 affiliate. He has been so for quite a while now, but he isn’t a one trick pony. He has been a successful affiliate for numerous niches, but has found the most success with Clickfunnels.
So how did he win his dream car?
“I won my dream car by helping small business owners find solutions to their problems on YouTube. I made videos about ClickFunnels based on what problems people were searching on YouTube and referred them in each video to ClickFunnels.”
What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
My number one piece of advice is to focus on creating content. Pick a platform, or a few platforms, master them,. and get a system in place to consistently put out content.
People are always surprised when they start doing this and it actually works.

Chris Fong is one of the newest dream car winners and an affiliate marketing and SEO expert. He runs the popular Smart Business Trends blog and where he has been blogging since 2013.
So how did he win his dream car?
“I qualified for the ClickFunnels dream car through my blog and Facebook. I’ve always been able to get Clickfunnels targeted traffic through SEO but it’s only when I created an irresistible bonus offer did I start to see my affiliate commissions really increase. My bonus bundle was a combination of direct coaching from me and various white label software and resources that I created myself or purchased from others.”
What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
For people just starting out, my #1 tip is to hang out where other CF affiliates are which is in the CF targeted Facebook groups.
Become part of the community and try to help out and drop value where you can. Not only will you learn a lot, more importantly you will build relationships that can have a lasting impact on your business.

Greg Jeffries is one of the first Clickfunnels dream car winners that focused on SEO to fuel his dream car prize. He is a course creator and an over-all great guy.
You can read more about my story, and about how he has inspired me as an affiliate marketer here.
So how did he win his dream car?
“I qualified for the dream car primarily by leveraging SEO (blog posts and YouTube videos) that targeted ClickFunnels longtail keywords. I also used this organic traffic to build a small list.”
“Once people opted into my list they were taken through a custom email sequence that introduced them to each of the ClickFunnels products. These emails helped to educate leads about all the different ClickFunnels products, convert them into active members, and significantly reduce churn rate.”
What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
My #1 advice to someone just getting started with ClickFunnels is kind of a combination of things
1) BUY the product and familiarize yourself with it. Actually USE IT because doing so is going to make you a much more successful affiliate.
2) And the second thing is to simply not give up. I truly believe the only thing separating people that have qualified for the dream car and those that have not is that the people that won it just put in more effort. Most people don’t get results because they don’t put in any effort. So, stop trying to promote 500 different products at once and focus only on ClickFunnels (which, by the way, has quite a few products in their ecosystem) and if you stick with it for long enough you will eventually start to see amazing results.

James Hurst is an innovative affiliate that actually created software to help promote Clickfunnels.
So how did he win his dream car?
“I won the ClickFunnels dream car contest with a variety of paid and organic traffic methods including Facebook, Google/Bing and YouTube. As a software developer I also focused on creating valuable software bonuses such as emailslurper3000.com and cffollowuppro.com.”
What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
The biggest breakthroughs for me came when I decided to invest in courses from other Dream Car winners and get involved in their Facebook groups.
For those getting started today I definitely recommend growing a list and/or Facebook group and to add value through publishing content and offering strong bonuses.

Tyler S. Clark runs an ad agency for accountants. Not the sexiest niche right? But he leveraged his knowledge of the accounting industry to winning a dream car in 100 days!
So how did he win his dream car?
“There isn’t a short quote I can provide other then it doesn’t happen over night and it’s not easy, but it can be simple when your systems are in place and people want your offer.”
What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
The moment you tell other people about your plan for affiliate marketing, they will crap on it. DO. NOT. LISTEN. TO. THEM. They are not in this world, they do not understand it, or understand you. Only listen to people who have a proven track record of success in affiliate marketing, and shut out all the other noise.

Nathan McCallister runs a successful e-Com business and helps other entrepreneurs set up their own businesses.
So how did he win his dream car?
“I won my dream car by offering a coaching bonus. I made a private group that was cost $97/month OR a valid ClickFunnels account created through my affiliate. This method worked for me because I had built a pretty large following in the e-com space and many people had clearly been considering ClickFunnels already. Offering it in lieu of a membership fee made the decision easy. The turnover is of course high (many got an account just for access to my training) but I’ve earned a lot of commissions thanks to this method.”
What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
Leverage affiliates. Buying traffic or getting it organically is infinitely more difficult than finding someone who already has a following of people who want to buy your product.
Offer great commission rates and make sure your affiliates want to promote funnel. Read “Dream 100” by Dana Derricks if you really want to learn how to leverage the power of affiliates.

John Lee Dumas is the definition of a hustler. He pretty much willed his way into one of the top business Podcasts in the world by putting out content almost every single day.
Since 2012 he has done over 2000 podcasts. To get an idea of how many podcasts that is, in 7 years there are 2555 days.

What’s your #1 tip for people just starting out?
I have generated more than 1 million dollars in lifetime commission from Clickfunnels. To accomplish this, I created a FREE COURSE called Funnel On Fire where I teach how to create funnels that convert.
At the end of this short but valuable course, I recommend ClickFunnels as the software for people to use to create their funnels.

Getting to 100 active subscribers on Clickfunnels is a huge accomplishment and writing this article has helped me understand what it takes to get there a little better.
From speaking to these dream car winners (and some soon to be winners) I have come away with these three key take aways:
This is a big one for me that I got from Spencer Mecham. He talks about focusing on just one thing and getting good at it before branching off onto other things.
This is also called shiny object syndrome.
When you are just starting out it may seem like you have a huge mountain to climb. Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Google SEO, Pinterest, Youtube – it can really be overwhelming.
The fact of the matter is that all of these ways of getting traffic can work.
And you don’t need to learn all of them to have success.
The best way to get good at something is to just focus on that one thing and master it before trying to learn something else.
So if you are already good with Youtube, get great with it.
If you are not good at anything, choose something that interests you and get good at it before trying to get good at something else.
And most of all, like Greg Jeffries recommends – don’t give up!
One thing that kept coming up over and over again with dream car winners is how they give away something to get subscribers.
This is something that Chris Fong, James Hurst, John Lee Dumas and Nathan McCallister implemented to get to 100 active subscribers and it is something that people can implement right away.
The trick is giving away something people would actually find valuable. For example, Nathan McCallister gave away access to a private facebook group that normally costs $97 per month, so that buying Clickfunnels essentially paid for itself.
John Lee Dumas created a course to help people create sales funnels and that course provided enough value that people purchased Clickfunnels through his link.
This is something that requires a bit of creativity and some hard work, but developing the right giveaway or bonus can really be a difference-maker.
Both Chris Fong and James Hurst recommend getting active in Facebook communities to help win a dream car.
Facebook can be a great way to connect with your audience and make sales. But I think it can also be a great way to do market research and find out what people’s pain points are and then use that to create great content and also staying up to date on new changes to Clickfunnels
For example, from reading posts in the Clickfunnels Avengers I see that one of the biggest problems affiliates have is driving traffic to their affiliate offers.
So that has given me some ideas on future blog posts and videos.
You can do the same thing by finding people’s pain points and creating solutions for them.
Facebook is also a great way to network with people, and it is the primary way I connected with the dream car winners for this post.
Hopefully this article has given you some ideas as well as some inspiration on how to be a successful Clickfunnels affiliate.
