What I Like
What I Don't Like
Summary: Kindle Publishing is a great way to build an audience, gain authority and get credibility. It is also a good way to make passive income.
My Self Publishing Blueprint is Emeka Ossai’s attempt on creating a course that does both. While it succeeds in providing beginners a good blueprint for starting a Kindle Publishing business - it lacks in strategies for creating a true audience.
So if you are interested in learning how to use Kindle to market your books or get passive income this is a good course to get.
The normal price is $497. But as of this writing you can get it for $297. There’s even an instalment plan of three payments, which will cost you $127 a month if you don’t want to invest the entire amount at the beginning.
It’s difficult to be successful on Kindle because there’s so much competition. When I first started on Kindle it was very frustrating because I put time and effort into writing the book - and it just sat there.
Unfortunately most authors find themselves in the same situation. They spend 99% of their time on writing the book, thinking that just by having a really good book will bring them success.
Unless your a celebrity or have a large audience, this doesn’t work.
You need to know how to market your book. So how does Self Publishing Blueprint help you with this?
First there are few things to consider before buying any Kindle Publishing course. First what are your goals?
Are you a writer looking for help with marketing your book?
Or are you someone looking to just make passive income?
Are you looking to become an author and need help with writing an engaging book?
How comfortable are you with using blackhat techniques such as paying for reviews?
Are you looking to use Kindle to build authority and build an audience?
These are just some of the things you need to take into account before you buy this product. If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions you know that this is the sort of course aimed at you.
It’s important to manage your expectations with this product. Unlike other similar courses, Emeka Ossai doesn’t claim to make you an overnight millionaire. The course is geared towards helping you make your first $1,000 on Kindle. It will cover the key areas, such as choosing your niche, discovering the right keywords, making a cover and marketing your book.
If your a beginner and are looking to make money with Kindle then this is a great course to start with. But if you’ve already published a few books and you’re making good money, you aren’t going to learn much.
So what do I like about Emeka’s Self-Publishing Blueprint?
Emeka Ossai’s My Self-Publishing Blueprint is primarily aimed at beginners who has experienced no success in the world of Kindle. It’s important that you keep this in mind when considering whether this product is right for you.
Let’s take a look at the main features of Emeka Ossai’s My Self-Publishing Blueprint.
Every student gets access to a private Facebook group where everyone helps each other with their problems. Students and Emeka Ossai himself post the latest news in the industry as well as what has been working and what hasn't.
The community is actually a great group to be a part of. While with other groups things can get negative, the people in Emeka’s group are quite positive and supportive.
Although there are some people who only care about making more money, there are also great people who are looking to build real brands and businesses.
Another feature of the product is you can get access to Emeka directly either on Facebook or the My Self Publishing Blueprint group. He is very active, so getting a reply from him usually comes fairly quick.
The course focuses on how you can choose the right niches to write in, to begin with. Specifically, Emeka will show you how to write to the market, so you can increase your chances of making a profitable book.
Emeka does a nice job breaking down this subject and making it easy for beginners to understand.
Keyword selection and Amazon Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is something that many writers don’t consider. There’s a section of the course that will teach you how to pick the right keywords in your niche.
It doesn’t include a specific list of keywords, but it will give you some pointers on how you can perform the research yourself.
Writing the book is the main consideration you should have when getting into Kindle. I like that Emeka has put more focus in this area.
He tries to show you what readers are looking for and what the most common reasons are for negative reviews on Amazon. That way you can tweak your books and get more sales going forward.
Emeka has a pretty detailed process for getting books made used a Ghost Writing service. He uses two services in particular, I have only used one before - The Writing Summit and it isn’t a bad service.
Another benefit of using this course is there’s also a section on how you can save time using virtual assistants. Emeka Ossai’s My Self-Publishing Blueprint doesn’t offer virtual assistant services, but he does offer a guide on how you can use them to save time.
My Self-Publishing Blueprint concentrates on how to price your book so you can maximize the number of people who want to buy your book.
Knowing how to price your book is important because pricing too high and you won’t sell any books, sell too low and your leaving money on the table.
Anyone who has ever attempted to build a successful Kindle business understands that organic reviews are the key to success. There’s a step-by-step guide that will show you how to get reviews for your books going forward.
It should be noted that while most of what Emeka teaches is white hat (not against Amazon’s terms of service), he does teach how to buy reviews as well (aka - review swaps).
The biggest difference between his course and other similar courses is that he doesn’t base his entire strategy on review swaps. He preaches using some reviews at first to build up your books, but then switching to a completely white hat strategy.
My Self-Publishing Blueprint goes further than other similar courses because it teaches learn how to build a sustainable business with Kindle Publishing. The course doesn’t go into a whole lot of depth into this, but it is a step in the right direction. Emeka actually goes more into this sort of thing on his Youtube channel, and he had a great talk about this with Miles Beckler.
The course is presented through a series of videos. Emeka is a very good presenter, so when he explains concepts they are easy to understand.
Most My Self-Publishing Blueprint feedback is overwhelmingly positive. I scoured the Internet to find out what people really think of the course. We purposely avoided the reviews posted on the website of the course itself so we could get a balanced review of what people think.
Godchild Bash said:
“It's a great group to be a part of. Very interactive people. Helpful, also, there's no hate in this group everyone supports and gives very valuable advice.”
A review from Jacob Rothenberg:
“I reached my first $1,000 in earnings from Kindle Publishing after being in Emeka's course for exactly one month! My Self-Publishing Blueprint is a complete framework on how to start your Kindle Publishing business the RIGHT way and cut my learning curve significantly. If you're serious about seeking your financial freedom through Kindle Publishing, join Emeka's course!”
Blogger Michael Jak says about Emeka Ossai:
“I like what Emeka has built and it’s been amazing to see his progress, determination and grit over the last year building up My Self Publishing Blueprint.”
It’s important to look at alternatives when considering which course is right for you. We took a look at some of the most popular courses that compete directly with My Self Publishing Blueprint.
Most of the alternative products are similar, but haven’t been updated recently. So let’s take a look at what Self Publishing Blueprint is competing with:
K Money Mastery course is probably the most popular Kindle Publishing course out there. It has a lot of good strategies. In fact you can see a direct line of the strategies taught in KMM to Emeka’s course. So Emeka has taken the best from K Money Mastery and included them into his own course.
Stefan’s course is cheaper than Emeka’s course but it also hasn’t been updated in some years.
How does it differ?
Check it out if you are looking for a less expensive Kindle Course.
Another rival to Self Publishing Blueprint is the Self Publishing Revolution (SPR) course. Both courses have similar material, and you can see that it was used as an inspiration to Emeka’s course.
Self Publishing Revolution is another older course, and at the time of this article, it is no longer being updated by it’s course creator Luca De Stefani.
So how does My Self Publishing Revolution differ from Emeka’s My Self-Publishing Blueprint?
If you are looking for a cheaper monthly option, SPR can be purchased on a month to month basis so you can see what it has to offer if Self Publishing Blueprint is too pricey.
However many of the tactics in SPR are against Amazon’s terms of service and it could get your account banned, or worse.
Are you someone who wants to build a book publishing business and make your first $1,000 online? Or do you just need help figuring out how to get more traction to your already published books on Kindle?
Self-Publishing Blueprint by Emeka Ossai is a good way place to start. Emeka is very involved in his course and the community, and you can tell that he really cares about his brand and the people that buy his course.
If you are interested in learning how to build an audience to become an authority or build an audience there are some tips inside that can help you with that as well.
I like that he is taking a more white-hat approach to being successful on Kindle. The days of risking your account to make money on Kindle are over.

Jeremy started Hustle Life as a typical crappy affiliate marketing site and was attractive to the elusive allure of "passive income" but after years of learning, he learned that online marketing is more about HUSTLE than sitting on your @$$ doing nothing and he want's to pass on his hard-earned lessons to you.
